Delete your CommunATI account
You can delete your CommunATI account and all associated data at any time. There is no fee, and you do not need to give a reason.
Option 1 — In the app
- Open CommunATI on your device.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion.
This is the fastest path. Deletion is final and completes within 30 days.
Option 2 — By email
Email hello@communati.ca from the address on file with the subject line “Delete my account”. We will confirm receipt within 5 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your email address and authentication record.
- Your family profile (child first names and age bands).
- All program registrations associated with your account.
- All programs you follow and any saved programs.
- Any Project Showcase uploads you submitted, whether or not they were publicly approved.
- Notification preferences and device push tokens.
What we keep
Registration records less than 12 months old are retained in anonymized form (child first name and age band removed, replaced with a hash) so member organizations can reconcile their attendance and funding records. These records cannot be linked back to you after deletion.
We retain transactional logs (request timestamps and IP addresses for security and abuse investigation) for up to 30 days after deletion, after which they are purged.
Timeline
Deletion completes within 30 days of your request. Most accounts are fully deleted within 7 days. You will receive a confirmation email when your deletion is complete.
